THE LEGEND OF JIMOTHY: A LINK TO THE NOT-SO-DISTANT PAST

Ah yes...we've all heard of Jimothy by now. But questions arise about him. Who is he? What is he covering up? And, most importantly, what were his parents thinking when they named him?

All these questions will be answered...soon.

For now, here's a little hisory of the band performing under the moniker Jimothy's Cover<>Up.

Forming in mid-2001, the three friends Aaron, Eric, and Robert decided to re-name their plan for a band. One had mentioned the name Jimothy, and another had an idea that included Cover-Up. When these brilliant ideas came together, Jimothy's Cover<>Up was born. Later, Xavier, Aaron's brother was asked to join to play bass (since all the three had were guitars). He invited his friend Jose to play drums, but alas, Jose was unable to learn fast enough. Brianna and Miguel were added to play trumpet, but Brianna had to transfer to a different skool and resigned. Norma was later recruited and Jose changed his instrument, so we now had 2 new saxes. A full horn section, a bass, 3 guitars, but no drummer. That's where Royal comes in. Being Eric's cousin, he heard of the formation of a band in need of some skins. Accepting his services, Jimothy's Cover-Up was completed. Then, after some unknown revelation, Eric decided to switch to sax, leaving us with a better rounded line-up. Peter was added to play trombone (we were in dire need of a trombone). Some shows have been played, some strings broken, drumsticks shattered, reeds worn out, microphones destroyed, and a suspiciously weak instrument cable that snapped on December 15, 2002, during the middle of our first show ever...but it's all been worth it.
